- Lights installed behind tint: the tint changes the colour of the light and may be an accident hazard (especially in smaller buses like the Toyota Commuter)
- Lights that are too small: watch out in particular for round lights and narrow rectangle lights
- Lights that are installed too low: if installed below the windscreen, they are too low
- Incorrect distance between the lights and the signs
- Signs mounted too low
